This is a set of five paintings I completed back in 1995/97 and I called the series " Fields alongside Pengam Road, Ystrad Mynach."
They were done to capture the area before it became home to one of the top superstores. The whole area was landscaped and levelled off for the store, petrol station and car parking so these views no longer exist. It's amazing how many artists travel miles looking for their next painting. The paintings above are all across the road fom my house in Pengam Road, all I had to do was to hop over the fence and start sketching. Some of these paintings are shown in the Galleries but are on display here because they form a set of five. All the paintings are the same fields veiwed from different places.
