This painting shows Pontypridd Museum and the old stone foot bridge over the River Taff.
The bridge was built during the period of 1746 - 1754
by William Edwards and at that time was the longest single span bridge in the world.
The second, Victoria Bridge, for road traffic came around 1857 and was built by Tomas Jenkins.
