This painting shows the front view of The White Castle, one of five castles I visited during April '15.
Whilst a smallish castle it still has that big appeal. The viewer here is standing in the outer ward of the castle with
the remains of the outer ward walls and towers behind us. Although not visible, there is a castle moat and the name 'The White castle' is because of its
lime wash, white colour in its early life - similar to our churches where many of the towers have been returned to their original white colour - so this was a very enjoyable visit.
