This small watercolour painting has the viewer looking over the side railings on Mill Street at the Taff Vale Railway Viaducts in Pontypridd, South Wales.
The viaducts are the work of Isambard Kingdom Brunel
where the original single skewed arch of around 1841 can be seen behind the front/later viaduct of around 1861 which has two spans and river pier.
The River Rhondda is seen flowing between the arches, joining the River Taff half a mile down stream.
