These small oil sketches capture the view
alongside Gelligaer Road leading to the Shingrig near Nelson with LLanciaach Fawr Manor, although
not visible is amongst the trees on the left painting.
Nelson is seen in the distance on the right painting.
These fields have been developed for residential housing so the landscape is worth a painting.
