Being a traditional type of oil painter I have tried to capture this view as it is.
I don't normally use artists licence and with this painting it wasn't called for and anyway I'm all about capturing the scene as it is - not as it might be.
Here, Chepstow Castle is seen from the cast iron Wye bridge and whilst there I was taken by the colour of the River Wye and the level of the river banks.
