This part of the valley is pretty much unspoilt, lots of countryside with many lanes to venture down.
This painting shows the country lane having just come over the Michaelstone Bridge - another old
stone bridge over the Rhymney River. This road will take us to
Draethen and onto Rudry or Lower machen.
