The field here is now home to the Tesco store in Ystrad Mynach, though this small oil captures it back in the early sixties.
The painting shows the view towards Cwmdu Farm with a Newport to Brecon train passing through.
Also on the right, a Cardiff to Rhymney, Valley Line train can be seen, in those days the area was lucky to have a railway on both sides of the valley. Whilst the Brecon line has long gone the Valley Line is still in use.
