We are heading West in this small watercolour on the Pontypool to Neath bound train as it passes Crumlin junction, on its way over the famous viaduct.
At this moment the trains Fireman can be seen exchanging tokens by putting his arm through the signalman's hoop - allowing the train access to the single track ahead.
