Steam train approaching Crumlin Viaduct

We are heading West in this small, sketchy watercolour on the Pontypool to Neath bound train. Having just passed Crumlin junction we are just about to go over the viaduct at a speed of about 8 mph. In its early life the viaduct had duel tracks but in 1964 it has a single line. Crumlin high level station is to the left on the other side of the valley.

My thanks to Mr D O Packer of Ystrad Mynach for lending me details of this view. These details are not readily available so without his help this painting would not have been done.
