This watercolour painting of The Baptist Chapel in Cefn-Hengoed is long overdue.
In my younger days I lived in Cefn-Hengoed - just falf a mile from the chapel and now I live in Ystrad Mynach, which just a mile or so away.
So it should really have been an early subject to paint - considering the history of The Chapel which is a grade II listed building. It was built in 1710 then
underwent rebuilding in 1829.
The inscription on the front of the building reads :
