Looking South towards Senghenydd and Abertridwr is viewed from the top of the Aber Valley at Graig yr Hufen farm. Details below.
I've a small connection with Abertridwr since my grandparents moved down from Bethesda, North Wales in the 1920/30's to live there for a number of years before moving to Tiryberth.
The idear for the rainbow came sometime after completing this painting. While I was out walking with Tom across Hengoed Viaduct I looked North towards Bargoed and the rainbow appeared out of the blue sky and clouds just as I've shown.
